SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- An electrical worker was shocked and fell from a ladder Friday, injuring his back.
The accident happened at New Rainbow Lake Middle School on River Oak Road.
Ronnie Stroupe, of Dallas Electric in Gastonia, N.C., said that the worker was pulling wire through a box at a construction site at the school when a piece of the wire that was charged touched him. He said the man was shocked, which knocked him from his ladder.
Stroupe said the worker injured his back and elbow, but was expected to recover.
The worker had been with the company for about eight years.
