Worker dies in accident at peanut plant
EDENTON, N.C. - A 25-year-old man died in an apparent work-related injury at Seabrook Ingredients in Edenton, North Carolina.
Steven Lamar Phelps, of Granville Street in Edenton was injured at work on November 11 around 11:39 a.m., and when officers arrived at the scene, he had already died, Edenton Chief of Police Jay Fortenbery said.
The NC Department of Labor was advised of the incident.
