Echota Technologies Corp., a defense-related firm located in Alcoa, has released the identities of two workers involved in a training accident at Fort Bragg, N.C., Tuesday, one of whom was killed and the other injured.
The worker killed in the accident was identified as retired U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Edward L. Jenkins, 57, and the injured worker was identified as Daniel R. Aliff, 27, who was treated and released from the hospital and is recovering at home. According to Echota officials, both men were from North Carolina.
Jenkins had been with Echota since January 2010, while Aliff has been with the firm since June 2009. Both served as range maintenance technicians.
